Our Doctors

Francis Stagnitta, DVM -
Dr. Frank was born in Syracuse, NY, but moved at a young age and grew up in coastal Chesapeake, VA. Animals have always played a major role in his life and he knew he wanted to be a veterinarian at age seven. He is a 1987 graduate of The VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been in private practice for thirty years (three in mixed practice, twenty-seven in exclusively small animal practice). He has been married to his wife, Kim, for twenty-seven years and has lived in Franklin since 1992. Josie, their thirteen year old daughter, is an amazing girl and is the joy of his life. They are owned by and live with four dogs (Butterscotch, Alafair, Leroy, and Crunchy) and two cats (Angel and Louie).

Kelly Rogers, DVM - Dr. Kelly grew up in southeastern Wisconsin and has been an animal lover her entire life. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology with highest honors from Cedarville University in Ohio. It is there she met her husband, Daniel, who is the head engineer and vice president of a local defense contracting firm. She attended the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville and graduated with honors in 2009.  Her professional interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, pain management, and client education. She frequently updates her online educational Pet Care Blog and enjoys sharing her experience and knowledge with pet owners. Dr. Kelly is an active member of the AVMA, AAHA, NCVMA, and is fully accredited by the USDA-APHIS.  She is also a proud and active member of Rotary International.  She and Daniel have been married for ten years and reside in Franklin. They recently welcomed a son, Samuel, in October 2016.  Samuel has brought a new level of joy, love & fun into their family.  They also live with a bullmastiff (Ajax), a three-legged mutt (Monkey), a mischievous black cat (Schrodinger), a special three-legged cat (Trinity), and two goats (Gretchen & Freddie). When she is not working, Dr. Kelly enjoys spending time with her family & friends, photography, scrapbooking, arts & crafts, traveling, scuba diving, and taking care of her menagerie of pets.

Our Staff

Kim Morgan - Kim has lived in Franklin for over 20 years. She moved here so that her kids could have the same small town upbringing that she did as a child. She has a son Trevor, 28 who has just moved back to Franklin after living in TN for 4 years and a daughter Shannon, 29, who resides in Boone, NC.  Her canine companions are "Riley" & "Fai." She adopted them from a local shelter in Macon County.  She encourages people to adopt a pet in lieu of purchasing one.  “I have been happily employed at Franklin Veterinary Hospital for 20 years and have been the office manager for the past 13 years.  I love working with animals.  We have a great clientele that I have gotten very close to over the years. We are very family oriented here at the vet hospital and I have a great rapport with the doctors as well as my co-workers.”
Emily Reilly - Emily has been employed with Franklin Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary assistant for seven years.  She is an avid animal lover.  She fosters homeless pets from time to time along with caring for her own family of children and pets at home.  "I love my Franklin Vet Hospital family.  We all share a similar passion for helping pets, while still having fun on the job.  It puts a smile on my face when our patients come through the door with wagging tails and happy kisses."
